A Plasterer’s Tale

Nigel Murphy served a full traditional apprenticeship, taking four years as a junior and a further two years as an assistant. After leaving this firm he carried on learning his trade from a time honored Mad Irish plasterer working around Europe. After several years, many adventures and an extremely diverse work load, Nigel returned to this country to live and set up his own business. Initially basing himself in Hampshire for some fifteen years, most of his work was modern as demand dictated.

On relocating himself his family and business to Watchet in Somerset he started to rediscover the skills he learned all those years before., techniques, and crafts no longer taught to young and up coming plasterers, (poor old Murphy) Now working with his eldest who is just about to qualify from Yeovil College with his N V Q 2 In plastering, after two years.

 Nigel is able to offer a comprehensive range of plastering both old and new.
